Wow, what a ride it has been so far! From very rough beginnings, I’m now ready to start a life of love and fun! I was in really bad shape from a flea infestation and intestinal worms. Plus I was in heat! Yikes! Then, to add insult to injury, I got lost and ended up in this horrible place where animals were in cages everywhere, scared and confused. This angel took me out of there in the nick of time. I spent quite a bit of time getting back on my feet and putting on weight seemed to take forever. I know, every woman’s envy to be able to eat whatever and not worry about the ol’ waistline, huh? Well, thankfully, I now have a clean bill of health, fully vetted, on heartworm prevention, and can now focus on my long list of fabulous traits to help match me with my forever home. Ready?
I’m very unusual looking. Stunningly beautiful, even if I do say so myself. They call my coloring brindle and my coat is smooth and silky. I’m also only 4 years old, so I have many, many wonderful years ahead of me to keep you company. Then, if you know anything about doxies, then you know we are all intelligent, intense little people with minds of our own and unsurpassed loyalty and snuggle potential. Well, and then there’s……………… ME! I’m the supersized version! Whew, where to begin! I’m passionate and intense about everything. I’m very, very charming, very smart, very loyal, very housetrained, very crate trained, very alpha, very prey driven, very much a bolter… See a pattern here? Yep, I’m pretty much everything to the “very” degree. Add to that I love, love, LOVE to play, love to run, munch on chewies play with toys, and I love, love, LOVE to snuggle. Another pattern! My foster mom also says I am the SMARTEST doxie in her whole household! And – there are a bunch of them!
I love to watch TV. We can do that while we snuggle! You can also tell me all your happenings and secrets. I’m an excellent listener. No, seriously!
Now on the play thingie, I would really love a home with a playmate, although this is not an absolute requirement. I do tend to be bossy, so it would be great if my playmate is ok to let me be in charge. Lola, my foster sister, would be perfect to be my new FOREVER sister, but if you adopted both of us, we would need to be your only two dogs. We watch out for each other – BIG TIME – so if another doggie snarls at one of us --- we stick up for the other! I love to play outside, but would need supervision there and a secure, fenced in yard. This is all in the name of keeping me safe. Since I’m a bolter, I would run at top notch speed if I got out and not be able to find my way back. And then who would you tell all your secrets to, or snuggle and watch TV with? It’s also best I’m in a home with no children. They tend to leave doors standing open and then I get in trouble because I want to go explore. Hey, it’s in my genes! That’s how I ended up lost and at that horrible shelter. Somewhere in my memory something happened that made me nervous around children. I don’t want to try to figure it out. That just brings on bad karma. I’d rather focus on playing and snuggling!
Speaking of snuggling, I absolutely love to be with my human and will also follow you around like a shadow to keep you company and see what you are doing. I also learn this way because a top priority for me is to please you, all in the name of having the best time possible all the time. *Smiles* I love attention and in return will be forever loyal and devoted to you.
I am being fostered in Huntsville, Alabama. If you are interested in me, please fill out an application and list my name, Ceilly, as your preference. If you have any questions about her, you may email karenb@kw.com.
