Welcome to Dixie Dachshund Rescue! We are a nonprofit organization incorporated in Alabama serving the Southeastern United States with some of our fosters being in Florida. Our Goal is to give any abandoned or unwanted dachshunds a second chance at finding a safe and loving forever home. We welcome new members who can assist us in providing that help for dachshunds by adopting, fostering, transporting, raising funds or any other supportive way.

*WE NEED YOUR HELP* As I mentioned above, we are a nonprofit organization. We rely solely on donations and volunteers. We cannot do what we do (give any abandoned, abused or unwanted Dachshunds a second chance at a loving forever home) without the help of our supporters and volunteers. So if you would like to make a tax deductible donation to help save a dachshund and give one of these babies another chance at a life it so deserves, you can use one of the 2 option's below. WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF FOSTER HOMES IN THE ALABAMA & FLORIDA AREA'S!!!PLEASE if you have the room and time to love an abandoned Doxie, PLEASE take a moment to fill out a Foster Home Application. We cannot save doxies without your help. So PLEASE join us in saving lives.
NOTE - A foster home is a temporary home for the doxie until the doxie finds its forever family.

We welcome new members who can help us provide Dachshunds with a second chance by finding these babies a safe and loving forever home. The help we, and the doxies, need includes such things as adopting a rescued baby, fostering one of these babies, transporting, and raising funds. We also welcome ALL donations, whether monetary or "items". We always need items to sell in our store! We also can use any and all donations to help our foster homes take care of our dogs, such as dog food, crates, leashes, harnesses, dog food bowls, heart worm prevention, etc. And, we want to say a BIG "THANK YOU" to those who have already helped us in so very many ways.
